Children’s Lighthouse goes several steps further in its bid to combine fun and learning. They know that the most effective way to teach children anything is to incorporate excitement into learning. Each of their unit’s, called a school, has a lighthouse at the center of it’s design and offers their services to parents of children from the very young up to 12 years old. They will even arrange for transport to take the children to and pick them up from school.

The schools are usually open between the hours of 6:30 in the morning and 6:30 at night offering parents an excellent level of flexibility. They offer day trips and outings during school holidays and in the midst of all this they also offer arts and crafts, dance and computer training classes to mention but a few. Established in 1997 and first franchised in 2000 Children’s Lighthouse currently has 8 company owned units and 2 franchised units. They plan to open a further 10 units in the next 12 months.

You will need an initial cash investment of $150k to $300k but for this you receive the benefits of an extensive 4-week training course, regular and ongoing support, site selection and lease negotiation help. Children’s Lighthouse also offers financial assistance if you don’t quite have the required money initially. Because of the size of the school you will be opening you will require 25 employees to fully staff your business, all of whom will receive the initial training and ongoing training that is required.
